Our Fees

Our Fees

Sage Future Financial, LLC is a fee-only financial firm. We do not earn commissions, we do not accept referral fees or kickbacks, and we do not have any hidden agendas. We work solely in the best interest of our clients.

Our clients hire us on an annual basis for comprehensive financial planning services.

Our annual fees include two components. One component is what is commonly called “assets under management” in the financial industry. Those fees are based upon the amount of investment assets, and are as follows:

0 – $1,000,000 .9 of 1%
1,000,001 – $5,000,000 .8 of 1%
$5,000,001 – $10,000,000 .7 of 1%
Over 10,000,000 .6 of 1%

The second component of our fee is a financial planning fee. It is typically $2,000 per year, but it can range from $2,000 – $10,000 depending on the complexity of the financial planning that is required.

In addition, there is a third component of the fee, but only during the first year that we work with a client. This is a “year one financial planning fee” and it is in addition to the other two fee components. It is typically $4,000 (first year only), but it can range from $4,000 – $20,000 depending on the complexity of the financial planning work that must be completed in the first year.

Our minimum annual fee is $15,000 in the first year and $11,000 for future years.

Our fee is often tax deductible.

There will be additional fees within your investments. For example, mutual funds have “annual expense ratios” that are fees charged by each mutual fund to pay their internal expenses. We work hard to minimize these fees. In addition, some mutual funds have transaction fees at Schwab Institutional. Our transaction fees at Schwab Institutional are $25.00. This only applies to certain mutual funds, and only when bought or sold. This is not an annual fee. These fees are disclosed to clients when the recommended investments are presented to the client. These are very low fees, and many of the mutual funds we recommend do not have a transaction fee. None of these fees are paid to us.
